In 2004 John P. Mee of John Mee Construction Ltd purchased their first Vacuum Excavator and carried out their first Vacuum Excavation Contract “Barkers Pool – Sheffield”.

This contact was eventually short listed for 2 awards and is still used today as an example of how Vacuum Excavation can improve productivity and more importantly mitigate risk and save lives .
  
This contract was to lay the foundations of how John Mee Construction Ltd evolved into the Company it is today.
The company's ethos is to provide a ‘one stop shop’ for Vacuum Excavation and to continue to develop and innovate to provide new solutions and products for the continuous improvement of Heath & Safety in the workplace.
